Through the MEGA DSC Recruitment drive, the School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh has decided to hire 16347 candidates for the post of PGT, TGT, PET, SGT, School Assistant, and Principal Posts. Candidates to become eligible for application has to fulfill the educational qualification and age limit criteria set by AP DSC. The candidates who do not meet the AP DSC Eligibility 2025 should not apply for the vacancies.
The educational eligibility criteria for the AP DSC varies according to the post while the age criteria is same for all of the posts. AP DSC Eligibility Criteria 2025 – Key Points
A candidate for selection to the posts of Teachers through AP DSC, should possess the academic and professional / training qualifications as prescribed below:-
- Candidates should have the prescribed qualification as on the last date of application.
- The Intermediate Qualification should be recognised by the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
- Academic Degrees obtained from the Universities must be recognized by UGC)/ DEB in case of distance education.
- Teacher Education Courses must be recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
- Special Education D.Ed./ D.El.Ed / B.Ed. Courses or its equivalent courses recognized by NCTE & Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
- The candidates should be qualified in the AP Teacher Eligibility Test – APTET/CTET for the posts of School Assistants, Secondary Grade Teachers, TGT Special education and SGT- Special education.
- TET qualification is not required for the posts of School Assistant (Physical Education) and Physical Education Teachers (PET).

Age Limit Criteria
The interested ones should be 18 years of age and should not be more than 44 years of age as on 01/07/2024. However, the upper age limit is related for reserved categories of applicants as under –
- 10 Years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
- 5 Years for SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates.
