RRB NTPC Score Calculation Process
The Railway Recruitment Board calculates the score of the individual candidates following certain guidelines as published in the official notification. Therefore, if we follow the RRB CEN 05/2024 then we shall come to know that the CBT 1 of NTPC Graduate Level Category Posts carries a total of 100 marks for 100 questions. Now, as per the marking scheme, each correct answer will fetch one mark while each wrong answer will lead to deduction of 1/3rd marks. Now to sum up the RRB NTPC Score Calculation Method, we can say that the Railway Recruitment Board will calculate the CBT score by the following method –
- RRB Technician Score = [1 mark x No. of questions correctly attempted minus 1/3 x No. of questions wrongly attempted ]
In addition to the above factors, the aspirants must note that the RRB conducts the CBT in multiple shifts. Hence, in order to bring parity of different shifts, the RRB goes for the Normalization of marks as per existing calculation rules of Indian Railways. All of these factors contribute to the final score of the candidates in the Computer Based Test.
