Upper Age Limit Criteria
The Upper Age Limit to apply for CIL MT Vacancies is 30 Years as on 30.09.2024 for General (UR) & EWS category candidates. Upper Age Limit is relaxed by:
- 3 Years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
- 5 Years for SC / ST
- Persons with Disabilities candidate: By 10 Years for General (UR) , By 13 Years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) & By 15 Years for SC / ST

CIL MT Vacancy 2024 – Selection Process
Eligible candidates must have appeared for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) – 2024). Based on the GATE-2024 Scores/Marks and requirement, candidates will be shortlisted discipline-wise, category-wise in a ratio of 1:3 for further selection process. The final merit list will be prepared for each discipline on the basis of GATE-2024 Scores/Marks.
Please note that for Management Trainee Recruitment of 2024 (MT-2024) of Coal India Limited, GATE Score Scores/ Marks of 2024 will only be valid and GATE Score/ Marks of 2024 or prior to that is not valid. Coal India MT Recruitment 2024 – Salary Details
Selected candidates will be placed as Coal India Management Trainee in E-2 Grade in the scale of pay of Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000/- at the initial Basic of Rs. 50,000/- per month during the training period of 1 year. On successful and satisfactory completion, the candidates will be posted in E-3 Grade in the scale of pay of Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000/- at the initial Basic of Rs. 60,000/- with probation for 1 year.
Apart from this, the post also carries additional allowances like Dearness Allowance, HRA, Performance Related Pay (PRP) as applicable for the post. Benefits such as Leave, Medical facilities, CMPF, CMPS, Gratuity, CIL Executive Defined Contribution Pension Scheme, etc will also be there.
