AFCAT Notification 2026 (AFCAT- 01/2026) is released by the Indian Air Force. The Air Force Common Admission Test shortly known as AFCAT is an admission test based on the performance of which the aspirants can get to join IAF as Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. The Exam is conducted twice in a year by the Indian Air Force. For the 1st time in 2026, the AFCAT examination will be conducted on 31 Jan 26 (Saturday). AFCAT Selection Procedure
Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) conducts a notified selection process to select Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. As per the notification, the selection process shall have the following stages –
- Written Examination.
- Physical Efficiency Test or Physical Standard Test.
- Medical Examination or Document Verification.

- The examination fee of ₹550/- + GST (non-refundable) for AFCAT entry (not applicable for NCC special entry) should be paid online after submitting application.
