Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 Notification
Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted for the admission to the Undergraduate and Post Graduate Programmes in law. For undergraduate programmes, the test is termed as CLAT UG while for Post Graduate Courses it is termed as CLAT PG. Below we have discussed the eligibility conditions which the interested students must posses to apply for this entrance test.
Eligibility for CLAT 2026 Application
| For CLAT UG – Undergraduate Programmes | 10+2 or equivalent examination passed with 45% marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories and 40% marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. |
| For CLAT PG – Post Graduate Programmes | An LL.B Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/ OBC/ PWD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI categories and 45% marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. |
Note: The Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April, 2026 are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2026 examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.

How to Apply for CLAT 2026 Online @ consortiumofnlus.ac.in ?
The application process for CLAT 2026 Registration is online at www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Willing candidates who want to appear for the CLAT 2026, must complete the registration within the deadline. The registration process has commenced from August 01, 2025 and it will continue until October 31, 2025. Here are the necessary steps which can be followed by the interested ones to fill the registration form.
Steps to Apply Online for CLAT 2026 Registration
- At first visit the official website at www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in
- Now, click on the ” CLAT 2026 ” Option on the menu.
- A new web page will open on the screen.
- Locate the registration option on the page.
- On the registration page, click on register option.
- Now, enter the details and click on register.
- The Registration process is complete by now.
- Now, the applicants should relogin to the portal using Mobile Number & OTP received.
- After login, enter the qualification details, select the exam and upload the details.
- Then proceed to pay the required application fees.
- After confirmation of the application fees, recheck the details and submit the form.
- Finally, take a print of the application submitted.

The applicants should upload the following documents/certificates in pdf format during the online application for CLAT Registration.
- Front facing passport size recent photograph with plain background
- Signature of the candidate
- Category certificate if you are applying under SC/ST/OBC
- Relevant certificate issued by competent authority if you are applying if candidate is P.W.D

Common Law Admission Test or CLAT as the name reads is a common entrance test for admission to UG & PG Programmes in Law offered by 22 National Law Universities around the country. This a National Level Entry Test which is a prerequisite for admission to 22 ( Twenty two ) National Law Universities and 37 ( Thirty Seven ) Private Universities in Law Courses. CLAT 2026 is organised for Undergraduate Courses as CLAT UG and while for Post Graduate Courses as CLAT PG.
