CSIR CRRI JSA (Junior Secretariat Assistant) Written Exam Scheme
For the post of JSA or Junior Secretariat Assistants, the Written Examination will have two papers (Paper I and Paper II) with questions of 10+2 standards. The Paper II will be evaluated for only those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks in the paper I. Therefore the Final Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Paper – II. The tabular view of the exam scheme is as follows –

- The Written Examination will be OMR based / CBT as CRRI decides.
- There will be NO negative marks in Paper I of the exam.
- In Paper II, 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong attempt.
- The Paper-I of the Written Examination is qualifying in nature.
- The Selection Committee will fix the minimum cut-off marks in Paper-I.
CSIR CRRI JSA Computer Proficiency Test Scheme
All the candidates who are shortlisted based on their performance in Competitive Written Examination will be called for the Proficiency / Typing Test in Computer. The CSIR CRRI JSA Computer Proficiency Test is qualifying in nature and the scheme of the test as per the notification is as follows –
- English Typing @ 35 WPM and Hindi Typing @ 30 WPM.
- 35 / 30 WPM correspond to 10500 / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depression for each word.
- The time allotted for typing will be 10 minutes.
CSIR CRRI Stenographer Written Exam Scheme
The CSIR CRRI Junior Stenographer selection will be made based on the merit list of Competitive Written Examination and Proficiency Test in Stenography which is qualifying in nature. The details of scheme of
the written examination is as follows –

The written exam qualified candidates shall have to appear for a Proficiency Test in Stenography. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi at the speed of 80 WPM. The transcription time is as follows –
