Haryana TET 2024 Notification Out
Department of School Education, Haryana and affiliated by the Board of School Education, Haryana is going to conduct the “Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test” or “HTET” in accordance with the guidelines and such other rules/ regulations laid down by the NCTE. Actually, to ensure that candidates recruited as teachers possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching, one of the essential qualifications is that the candidates should have passed the “Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test“. Haryana TET Notification 2024- Level of Test
Haryana TET is an eligibility test which the individual who possess minimum educational qualifications relating to the teachers available on the website of the School Education Department, Haryana are eligible. The HTET is general are conducted for the following three levels :-
- Level 1: Who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V (PRT-Primary Teacher) and fulfills the minimum qualification.
- Level 2: Who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII (TGT-Trained Graduate Teacher) and fulfills the minimum qualification.
- Level 3: Who intends to be a PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) and fulfills the minimum qualification.
HTET Notification 2024 – Eligibility Criteria
A candidate who intends to be a teacher for any of the level as mentioned here above (i.e. Teacher for classes I to V and VI to VIII and PGT) and fulfills minimum qualifications for both levels will have to apply Online for both separately. Candidates can apply for more than one Level in the HTET. The details of the eligibility conditions according to the level of examination are as follows –
Minimum Educational Qualifications
| Level-1- For becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Teacher (PRT) | Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31 August, 2009. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed OR appearing in final year of 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed OR appearing in final year of 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). ii) Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary/Graduation / Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects. |

HTET Exam Date 2024 Released
Haryana TET Examination Date is already announced by the Board of School Education, Haryana. With the HTET Notification 2024, the Exam Date is also announced. As per the notification, the authority shall conduct the HTET 2024 on 7th & 8th December 2024. To start, the Authority will conduct the HTET Level 3 exam (PGT Teacher) on the 7th December 2024 from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. While the HTET Level 2 (TGT), and Level 1 exam (PRT) on 8th December 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, and 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm respectively.

HTET 2024 Exam Pattern
The Haryana TET as discussed above is conducted for three levels – Level 1,2 & 3. Therefore, the exam pattern of these tests are also different. HTET Level 1 (Primary Teacher) Exam Pattern
Candidates who intend to become School Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Teacher should appear for the Level 1 Examination. The Test will have only one paper. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There shall be no negative marking for wrong attempt.

Candidates who intend to become TGT School Teacher for VI to VIII need to appear for the Level 2 while the candidates desire to become PGT School Teacher for Class IX to XII and Above need to appear for Level 3 Exam.
