IB ACIO (Tech) Grade 2 Recruitment 2025 – Eligibility
Before applying for IB ACIO Tech Grade II Recruitment 2025, candidates have to ensure the following eligibility conditions like Age Limit, Qualification, etc.
Age Limit as on 16.11.2025
- Minimum Age: 18 Years.
- Max Age limit : 27 Years.
- Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Upper age limit is relaxed up to 40 years of age for departmental / Central Govt. Civilian employees holding civil posts candidates’ who have rendered 3 years of regular and continuous service.
- The age limit is relaxed up to age of 35 years for UR candidates, 38 years for OBC and up to 40 years for SC/ST in case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried.
- The age limit is relaxed for ex-servicemen (ESM) as per the Government instructions in this regard issued by the Central Government from time to time.

- Candidates must have achieved qualifying cut-off marks in GATE 2023 or 2024 or 2025 in Electronics & Communication (GATE code: EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (GATE code: CS) along with:
- Graduate Degree in Engineering in Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication or Electronics and Communication or Electrical and Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering; from a Government recognized University/ College/ Institute. Or
- Master’s Degree in Science with Electronics or Computer Science or Physics with Electronics or Electronics & Communication; or Master’s Degree in Computer Applications; from a Government recognized University/ College/ Institute.

Intelligence Bureau ACIO Tech Posts Selection Process
The Selection Process of the IB ACIO Tech Position in Intelligence Bureau as per the official notification is through three stage selection scheme. The Maximum Marks under the Scheme of Exam are 1175, out of which, 750 marks are earmarked for GATE Score, 250 marks for Skill Test & 175 marks for Interview. The stages of selection process are as follows –
- Shortlisting Phase based on Gate Score
- Skill Test; and
- Interview
Actually, in the shortlisting phase, candidates of 10 times the number of vacancies would be shortlisted on the basis of GATE score card (qualifying cut-off marks) of 2023 or 2024 or 2025 to appear for Skill Test and Interview at Delhi. The Skill Test would be practical based and technical in nature, commensurate with the job profile while ) the Interview will be held to assess the candidate’s traits on two parameters i.e. Subject knowledge in relevant fields & Communication skills. Finally, based on the combined score of GATE, Skill Test & Interview, a final merit list for the post of ACIO-II/Tech will be prepared.
