Selection Process of NTPC Diploma Trainee Posts
Let us first check the Complete Selection process of NTPC Recruitment, the Selection Test of the Recruitment Process shall have two stages. The Stages of Selection are-
- Online Aptitude Test
- Online Technical Test
The candidate who qualifies Stage 1 shall be shortlisted based on the Cut-Off Marks decided by NTPC shall be eligible to appear for the Second Stage. Final Selection will be based on the Performance of the merit in the Second Stage result.

NTPC DT Online Aptitude Test Details
Online Aptitude Test shall have 120 multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying 1 marks each. The total duration of the Exam shall be of 2 hours. There will be negative marks of .25 marks for every wrong answer. There is a qualifying mark in the Exam as General Candidates shall have to score 40 % marks and SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD Candidates shall have to score 30% marks in the exam to qualify for the shortlisting process. The topics of the Test on which questions will be asked are General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.

Qualifying Marks for General Candidates is 40 % marks and for SC/ST/OBC/PWD Candidates is 30% marks. Final Selection List will be prepared on the performance of the Online Technical Test.
