Eligibility to Apply for OSSTET 2024
The OSSTET Examination will be conducted in two different parts for the prospective teachers in two different categories such as :-
- Category I :- Education Teachers (Trained Graduate Teachers in Science/ Arts, Hindi/ Classical Teacher (Sanskrit/ Urdu/ Telegu).
- Category II :- Physical Education Teacher.

Note: who are in the process of acquiring the requisite training qualification i.e. are in the final year of acquiring the required qualification shall also be eligible to appear for the TET.
OSSTET Examination Scheme Overview
The OSSTET shall have two papers viz Paper-I and Paper-II. The candidates willing to become Trained Graduate Teachers in Science/ Arts, Hindi/ Classical Teacher (Sanskrit/ Urdu/ Telegu) shall have to appear for Paper I while the candidates willing to become Physical Education Teacher shall have to appear for Paper II.
The Duration of the Test in each paper shall be 2 hours and 30 minutes. There shall be Four Sections in each paper. All questions will be Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one is correct. Furthermore, there shall be no negative marking. OSSTET 2024 – Qualifying Marks
Candidates who are appearing for the Odisha STET should have to secure the qualifying marks failing which the candidates shall not be declared qualified. As per the Odisha STET Notification 2024, the minimum pass mark in each paper is –
- 45% (68 marks out of 150) for UR Candidates.
- 35% (53 marks out of 150) for SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates.
