Punjab Constable Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The Punjab Police team selects the aspirants on basis of their performance in phases held during the selection process. Actually, the selection process for the recruitment shall be a 3 (three) stage process consisting of following Tests:
| Stage-I | Stage-I will consist of two common Computer Based Test (CBT), Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type Paper viz. Paper-I and Paper-II, of which Paper-II shall be qualifying in nature. |

- There shall be no negative marking in the CBT.
- Questions will be objective in nature.
- Total duration of Written Test – 2 hours.
- Candidates has to qualify the test to appear for PET & PMT.
- Qualifying Marks for SC, ST, EWS & Ex-Servicemen is 25 % marks while it is 30 % for others.
- The candidates shall also be required to score a minimum of 50% percent marks in Paper-II.
- Paper-II mark, which is a mandatory qualifying paper of Punjabi Language, shall not be considered in the overall score of the candidate for determining merit.

Punjab Police Constable Stage 2 Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) Details
As per merit in the Paper 1 score, sufficient number of candidates will be called for Stage 2 Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT). The Punjab Police Constable Stage 2 Examination will be conducted in the following order:-
- Running (PST)
- Long-Jump (PST)
- High Jump (PST)
- Height Measurement (PMT)
The candidates, whose documents uploaded with the Application Form match with the original presented on the spot during document scrutiny, shall be eligible to undergo the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
Punjab Police Constable Physical Measurement Test Details
In the Physical Measurement test (PMT), the authority shall measure the height of the candidates as submitted in the online application. On satisfying this, the candidate shall be declared qualified the Physical Measurement test (PMT). The candidates, who are found to be of or above the requisite minimum height ( Male candidates – 5 feet 7 inches and Female candidates – 5 feet 2 inches) shall be eligible for the Physical Screening Test (PST).
