Railway Group D Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
Aspirants whose applications are found to be in order, RRB will intimate those candidates about the exam date and venue through the call letter or admit card. The call letter or admit card will be sent to the registered email ID of the applicants, else they can download the admit card from the related download links of the RRB. The entire selection process of the Railway Group D posts shall three stages of selection.
- Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- Documents Verification (DV).
The final merit list of RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 shall be on the basis of CBT performance provided the candidate clears the PET which is qualifying in nature as per RRB notification.

RRB Group D Computer Based Test Overview
The RRB Group D Computer Based Test will be an objective type MCQ based examination. CBT examination will consist of 100 questions to be attempted within 90 minutes. Negative marking for incorrect answers will be calculated in the CBT. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for every wrong answer attempted. RRB Gr D Recruitment Physical Efficiency Test Details
Candidates will be eligible for PET based on the merit of the Computer Based Test results. Approximately three times community wise of total vacancy notified against the RRB will be the number of the candidates to be called for PET of Group D recruitment. PET will be qualifying in nature and every candidate shall have to qualify this Test for final selection. The Physical Efficiency Test will have the following criteria to qualify-
| For Male Candidates | Male Candidates should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down & also they should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance. |
| For Female Candidates | Female Candidates should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down & they should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance |

RRB Group D Recruitment Document Verification
Candidates will be shortlisted and called for document verification based on the performance in Computer Based Test and qualifying in the PET. Candidates should note that RRB after due verification of eligibility like educational qualification, medical examination through appropriate authority, verification of antecedents or character of the candidates and community certificates, will recommend the names of the selected candidates only. The final offer of Appointments will be issued by the respective Railway Administrations.

RRB Group D Syllabus 2025 for CBT
The RRB Group D syllabus for CBT exam consists of 4 sections – Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness and Current Affairs subjects for 100 marks. All the questions will be objective type and to be available in 13 different languages besides English and Hindi. Accuracy matters to clear the RRB Group D exam 2025, where 1/3 marks to be deducted for each wrong answer in this CBT exam.
