SSC MTS Examination 2024 – Stages of Selection

As discussed above, the SSC MTS Examination 2024 shall be a combined examination for selection of MTS and Havaldar in CBIC / CBN. Therefore the stages of selection shall also be different according to the post applied for. So, the stages of selection are as under –

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2024 Overview

SSC MTS Computer Based Examination Scheme

The SSC MTS Computer Based Examination will be have two Sessions: Session-I and Session-II and every candidates need to appear for both the Sessions. The Exam Authority will first evaluate the performance of the candidate in Session-I. Thereafter, if the candidates qualifies in CBE Session I, the exam authority will evaluate the performance of the candidates in Session-II. The subjects and mark distribution of the examination is as follows –

  • The minimum qualifying marks in Session-I and as well as in Session-II of Computer Based Examination are as follows: UR – 30%, OBC/EWS -25% & All other categories – 20%.
  • The CBE will have questions in Hindi, English and in 13 regional languages viz. (i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) Gujarati, (iv) Kannada, (v) Konkani, (vi) Malayalam, (vii) Manipuri, (viii) Marathi, (ix) Odia, (x) Punjabi, (xi) Tamil, (xii) Telugu and (xiii) Urdu.
  • Time Duration of each session will be 45 minutes thus totaling 1hour 30 minutes.
  • There will be no negative marking in Session-I. However, in Session-II, there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.

SSC MTS Havaldar PET/ PST Pattern

Candidates who are willing to compete for Havaldar Post in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance shall have to appear for PET / PST.
