Brief on WB TET 2024 Examination
West Bengal Primary TET is an eligibility test for selection to the post of Primary Teacher in West Bengal Govt Aided Schools. The qualifying in this test is a prerequisite qualification for everyone who want to get the appointment as a primary school teacher in West Bengal Govt Schools. The Examination is organised by WBPPE and it consists of single papers – Paper I. Qualifying the Test makes the candidates eligible for an Interview / Personality Test. Thus after the personality test, the final selection list is announced by the WBPPE.
Eligibility to Appear for WB TET 2024
The Eligibility Criteria to appear for the West Bengal Primary TET ( Class I to IV ) must possess the following educational qualification as under –
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd) OR
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEIEd) OR
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) OR
- Graduation and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DEI.Ed)
There is 5% relaxation of marks in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination 10+2 (ie 45%) will be allowed for the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, Exempted Category, ex-serviceman and DH (Death-in-harness) category candidates.
WBBPE Primary TET Exam Pattern 2024 Information
The West Bengal Primary TET is a single paper Offline test on OMR sheet. The test is conducted for the school teacher eligibility of Class I to IV. The total number of questions in the test will be 150 each carrying 1 (one) mark to the maximum mark of the test to be 150.
