How does RRB Calculate Technician CBT Score?
The RRB Technician CBT Score is the outcome of the calculation process that Railway Recruitment Boards adopts as per the notification. Now, if we go by the CEN 02/2024, then the Computer Based Test shall carry a total of 100 marks for 100 questions. As per the marking scheme, each correct attempt will carry one mark while there is negative marking @ 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer. Thus, Railway Recruitment Board will calculate the CBT score by the following method –
- RRB Technician Score = [1 mark x No. of questions correctly attempted minus 1/3 x No. of questions wrongly attempted ]
Candidates meanwhile should know that RRB conducted the Technician CBT in multiple shifts. Hence, in order to bring parity of different shifts does the Normalization of marks as per existing calculation rules of Indian Railways.
