The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has invited online applications from Indian nationals for direct recruitment to the post of Security Assistant (Executive) i.e., IB SA/Exe in the Intelligence Bureau, (Ministry of Home Affairs), Government of India. Post the Step 1 the Registration Process, the candidates need to complete the Step 2 Application Form Submission including the application fees payment. This can be accomplished through the following steps –
- Visit the IB SA Executive Application Dedicated Portal.
- Click the Login option on the portal.
- Next enter User ID and Password to login the portal.
- Candidate now enter Personal Details, Qualification Details, and Declaration etc. in the Application Form.
- Next, candidates should upload the scanned (digital) image of their photograph and signature.
- Once the application is submitted, candidates can proceed to pay the application fee through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI/challan etc.
- Finally, after the payment confirmation take hard copy of application.

IB Security Assistant Apply Online Eligibility Criteria
Candidates besides knowing the complete application process, you all must have to fulfill the eligibility criteria of education and age as on closing date of the application i.e. 17th August 2025.
Educational Qualification
- Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education,
- Possession of domicile certificate of that State against which candidate has applied.
- Knowledge of any one of the language/dialect mentioned in Table below against each SIB.
Age Limit Criteria
- 18 to 27 years as on 17.08.2025.
- Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Upper age limit is relaxable for departmental candidates up to 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular and continuous service. This relaxation is applicable only to Central Govt. Civilian employees holding civil posts and not applicable to personnel working in PSUs, Autonomous/Statuary bodies, etc.
- The age limit is relaxable up to age of 35 years for UR candidates, 38 years for OBC and up to 40 years for SC/ST in case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried.
