Karnataka SET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Karnataka Examination Authority aka KEA has invited the online application from eligible candidates for Karnataka State Eligibility Test for the posts of Assistant Professor in Universities and Colleges of Karnataka only. Hence before submission of the KSET Online Application, interested candidates should check the eligibility factors. The Online Application is active now and the link will be working until the closing date. Details of Eligibility Conditions for KSET 2025 is as under –
Education Qualification Requirements
Candidates with the undermentioned qualification can apply and appear for the State Level Eligibility Test organized by KEA for Assistant Professors –
- Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination are eligible for this Test. While OBC-NCL / EWS Candidates/ SC /ST/ PWD category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
- Candidates who are pursuing/waiting for their Master’s degree result or whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates shall be considered eligible for Assistant Professor only after they have passed their Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination with at least 55% marks [50% marks in case of OBC falling in Non -creamy layer/ EWS/ SC/ST /PWD (persons with disability) category candidates]. Moreover, these candidates must complete their Master’s degree or equivalent examination within two years from the date of KSET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
Age Limit to Apply
- There is no upper age limit for applying for KSET 2024. However, for the purpose of recruitment, the relevant Government Order will be applicable.
KSET 2025 Scheme & Date of Examination
KSET or Karnataka SET will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on 2nd November 2025 (SUNDAY) in one sessions. Details of the exam scheme is as under –

Karnataka SET 2025 Qualifying Criteria
Karnataka SET or KSET qualifying criteria is governed by UGC Guidelines. As per the notification, the candidates have to obtain the following minimum marks in aggregate of all two papers i.e, Paper 1 and Paper 2 for eligibility as Assistant Professors –

Steps to Submit KSET 2025 Application Form
Following are the Steps which the interested candidates can follow to submit the Karnataka State Eligibility Test 2024 Online Application Form.
- A candidate seeking admission to the SET must apply online only on the KEA website.
- Before applying online, the candidates must possess the scanned images, email ID and an working mobile.
- Next download the KSET 2025 Notification.
- Ensuring the eligibility conditions, the candidates should click on apply online link.
- Carefully entering the details, the candidates should upload the scanned images.
- After filling all the details for applying online for SET the candidates have to select the option of payment of examination fee either by credit/debit card/internet banking or through e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form.
- After the fee payment confirmation, the application process is complete. At this point, applicants should take a print of KSET Application for the record.
