SBI Probationary Officers – Why are they special in SBI?
SBI PO is a Management Grade Entry Level Officer in SBI. PO in SBI during their probationary period are trained in all of the fields that SBI deals with ranging from Deposits, Advances, Treasury, Agri-Credit, SME Finance, and others. Emoluments as SBI PO
In SBI, starting Basic Pay of a PO is 27,620/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 as per JMGS Scale-I. Besides this, PO’s are eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules. As per SBI Notice, total compensation of SBI PO on CTC basis would be a minimum of Rupees 8.20 lacs and maximum of Rupees 13.08 lacs per annum.

SBI PO 2024 Notification Eligibility Criteria
The candidate who desires to apply for SBI PO Post should have the required eligibility as per SBI Notification. The candidate is also informed that the eligibility criteria in case of Educational Qualification shall be reckoned as on 31st December 2023 while for Age-related Eligibility, this shall be reckoned as on 1st April 2024. Educational Qualification
Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university is the minimum educational qualification. However higher qualified candidates like CA, MBA, MCA etc. can also apply for the post. Applicants who are in the final year/semester waiting for the result or whose result would be available before 31st August 2024 can also apply. But candidates should be able to prove this in the event of being selected during the interview.

Steps for Online Application of SBI PO Recruitment 2024
Candidates should apply through SBI Official website https://bank.sbi/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers for SBI PO Application. Follow the steps to submit the application.
- Search for Current Openings.
- Open the appropriate Online Application Form.
- Upload the Scanned Image of Photograph & Signature.
- Fill up the Particulars.
- Ensuring the Correctness of the data, proceed to Payment Gateway.
- Pay the application through debit/credit card or internet banking.
- On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form will be generated.
- Take a print of the e-Receipt and Application form containing fee details for reference.

The dimension of Scanned Photograph Image
- The photograph must be a recent passport style color picture.

SBI Probationary Officer Selection Process 2024
The State Bank of India Recruitment department picks the eligible candidates purely based on their performance in Tier I, Tier II Examination & Group Discussion / Interview. SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern – Phase I
The SBI PO Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows –

Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Examination. There will be no sectional cut-off. Candidates numbering 10 times (approx.) the numbers of vacancies in each category will be short listed for Main Examination from the top of above merit list.
SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern – Phase II
The SBI PO Main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.
- Objective Test: The duration of objective test is 3 hours and it consists of 4 Sections of total 200 marks. There will be separate timing for every section. It is to note that there will be penalty of 1/4th of marks assigned to that question for wrong attempt to arrive at corrected score. However, if a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by candidate, there will be no penalty for that question. Moreover, aspirants should also note that sectional Marks will not be maintained for Mains Examinations.

Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in Phase-II (Main Exam). There will be no sectional cut-off. Candidates numbering up to 3 times (approx.) of the category wise vacancies will be shortlisted for Phase-III from the top of the category wise merit list subject to a candidate scoring the minimum aggregate qualifying score.
