SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 – An Easy Exam
Dear Aspirants, you might wonder as to why we termed SSC Stenographer Exam as an easy exam. Well, here we are explaining this. SSC Stenographer Selection Process has a single Online Test followed by Skill Test. Now for the same pay scale and for other less popular department postings, you all shall have to appear for more rigorous exams in SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination. Secondly, the number of applicants for this Examination is less, thus making this exam a less competitive one. - Question paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice only.
- The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.
- There will be negative marking equal to one-third of the marks allotted to the question for each wrong answer in Computer Based Examination.
SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 Skill Test Scheme
In the Skill Test, the candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer. The transcription time is as follows:

Final Word – Interested Aspirants can start their Shorthand Course from today onwards as Online Test is going to be scheduled in October / November 2024 and we assume the Skill Test will be conducted in June / Feb / March 2025.
