TNPSC Group 1 & 1A Services Selection Process
The Tamil Nadu Combined Civil Services Examination- (Group 1 Service & Group 1A Service) has the following successive stages of selection –
| Preliminary Examination | There will be common Preliminary Examination for both Group 1 and Group 1A Services. The Preliminary Examination will act as a screening test only and the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit. |
| Main Examination | Based on merit in Preliminary Examination, the TNPSC will draw a list of candidates to be qualified for the Main Examination. The Mains Examination will have four papers of descriptive type in the subjects among which the Paper I will be qualifying in nature. |
| Physical Standards Verification and Endurance Test | Candidates opting for DSP & ACF Post shall have to appear for this test and qualify for the post before the Interview |
