Required Qualification
- Citizenship of India or such other nationalities as are declared eligible by Govt. of India;
- A pass in the Madhyamik Examination of the WBBSE or its equivalent.
- Computer Literacy with ability of typing on computer at the speed of 20 (twenty) words per minute in English or 10 (ten) words per minute in Bengali.
- Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not applicable for Nepali speaking candidates from hill areas )
Age Limit Criteria
Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2023. Upper age limit is relaxable by
- 5 years for SC and ST candidates of West Bengal,
- 3 years for BC candidates of West Bengal and
- Up to 45 years for Persons with disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40% and above.

WB Clerkship Examination 2024 Selection Process
WBPSC Clerkship Selection Process will be through two stages of Examination namely –
- Part I ( MCQ Type )
- Part-II (Conventional Type – Written).
The Commission shall, in the first instance, declare the shortlisted candidates obtain the qualifying marks as would be fixed by the Commission in Part I Examination. After this shortlisted candidates, Answer script in Part II Exam will be evaluated and the final Merit Lists will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Mains Examination.
