Indian Railways is set to recruit 5696 posts of Loco Pilot this year. In this regard, the RRB has announced the RRB ALP Vacancy Notification 2024. The RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 is a national level examination attempted by millions of job seekers and it is considered as one of the toughest examination. The RRB in general makes an official notification of the examination date of the Loco Pilot Recruitment. Thus, following the trend, the Railway has uploaded the RRB Loco Pilot Exam Date Notification on its official portal. The important dates as per the official notice is as under –

RRB ALP CBT 1 Exam Pattern Overview
The First Stage CBT Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices. This Test will be of screening in nature and RRB will use the score of First Stage CBT/ CBT 1 only for short listing of candidates for Second Stage CBT / CBT 2 exam as per merit. - There shall be negative marking @ 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.

RRB ALP CBT 2 / 2nd Stage CBT Pattern
RRB after the normalisation of marks of different shifts of CBT 1 will prepare the list of candidates for the Second Stage CBT exam. As per Official Notification, RRB will shortlist approximately 15 times community wise candidates for CBT 2 as per their merit in CBT 1. This short listing of candidates will be according to the total vacancy of ALP Posts against that RRB concerned. The RRB ALP CBT 2 / Second Stage CBT shall have two parts of the examination
- Part A Examination and
- Part B Examination.

- The Part A Examination score is only for shortlisting of candidates for further stages provided the candidate has secured the qualifying mark in Part B of Second Stage CBT.
RRB ALP CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test) Pattern
This test is only for those candidates who have applied or opted for ALP Posts. As per the information, RRB will shortlist candidates equal to 8 times of the vacancies for the RRB ALP CBAT on the basis of score of Part A of the CBT 2. Candidates need to secure a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify this test. There shall be no negative marks in RRB ALP CBAT. The RRB ALP CBAT is a mandatory test and every candidates need to appear for the CBT for final selection.
