WBPSC AE Examination 2025 Stages in Selection
Like any other competitive examination that WBPSC conducts, the Assistant Engineering Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Examination will be completed through the defined set of stages. Here we have discussed these all. The Examination will be held in two successive parts, namely –
- Written Examination (MCQ Type) and
- Interview
PSC West Bengal will conduct the Written Examination in Kolkata centre only followed by the Interview. The Interview of the candidates selected on the basis of the results of the written examination will be held at the Commission’s office in Kolkata. WBPSC AE Salary Details
Selected candidates as Assistant Engineer (Civil) / (Mechanical / Electrical) shall be posted in the aforesaid departments with a handsome salary. The candidates along with the salary shall get other allowances like DA, HRA, TA and other allowances. The pay scale of the Assistant Engineer as per the notification is as follows –
- Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. – 4A) plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-.
WBPSC AE Application Fees
Rs.210/- (Rupees two hundred ten) only + Service Charge only for payment through Bank Counter (off-line payment). SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. BC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay the usual fee as aforesaid. ( Please note that SC /ST Candidates of other states are not exempted from paying the application fees.)
