The Staff Selection Commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level of Examination. This Competitive Examination is the toughest of all exams that SSC conducts. More than 10 Lakh Job seekers apply and appear for the SSC CGL Examination. Thus, the Exam Conducting Authority takes some time to assess the performance of these huge number of candidates. The result of the candidates are calculated using the normalization method since SSC conducts the examination in multiple shifts.
It is only after the evaluation, the SSC releases the Cut offs while declaring the result. Actually, SSC CGL Cut Off mark is the minimum score upto which the candidates are shortlisted for the next stage of recruitment. This cut off is released according to the category of the candidates and also according to the posts applied for. The important factors which decides the SSC CGL Cut Off marks are as under –
