Railway Recruitment Board in the year 2025 has decided to fill up 9970 vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilot and thus the Board has decided to accept the online application from 12th April 2025. RRB ALP Apply Online 2025 Required Information
Going by the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Notification 2025 it is clear that the RRB ALP Apply Online Link is active from 12th April 2025 to 19th May 2025 that is for a period of 1 (one) month only. Therefore, the interested candidates willing to submit the RRB ALP Application MUST KEEP the required information ready with them. Actually, as per the notification the interested candidates should have the following information ready before proceeding to submit the application –
- Scanned image of Photograph.
- Scanned Image of Candidate’s Signature.
- SC/ST Certificate in PDF.
- Scanned image of PWD Certificate.

Scanned Image of Photograph
The scanned image of recent, clear colour passport size photograph (against a plain white background) without wearing dark glasses and/or cap should have the following specifications as under –
- It should be a Colour Passport Photograph with white/light colour background.
- The dress should be non-white dress, preferably in dark colour.
- The colour photograph must not be older than two months with respect to last date for submission of the online application.
- It should be JPG/JPEG format scanned with minimum 150 DPI resolution and size of the photograph should be between (50-150 KB).
- The photo should be clear with proper resolution (minimum of 240 pixels in width x 320 pixels in Height), brightness & sharpness and with continuous tone quality.
- It should be of size 35 mm X 45 mm or 320 x 240 pixels.
- The face should occupy at least 50% of the area of the photograph with a full-face view looking at the camera directly.
- Photographs taken using mobile and self- composed portraits may result in rejection of application.
Scanned Image of Candidate’s Signature
Apart from the scanned image of photograph, the candidates should also have the scanned image of his/her signature. The specifications of candidate’s signature to apply is as follows –
- The Signature should be on white paper with black ink pen only
- The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen only.
- Signature must be in running letters and NOT IN BLOCK / CAPITAL LETTERS.
- The image should be in JPEG format with minimum of 100 DPI resolution.
- Dimensions of 50 mm x 20 mm or 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
- Size of scanned image file should be between 30 KB – 49 KB.
- Signature image should have proper resolution and complete image of signature should be visible in the centre of its box in the online application.
PDF Version of SC/ST Certificate
This is optional for the candidates who want to avail the free travel pass authority. SC/ST candidates who want to avail the facility of free travel pass shall have to upload the PDF version of his/her caste certificate. For this they have to scan the document and keep it ready in the PDF format only with size below 400 KB only.
RRB ALP Apply Online 2025 – Steps to Apply
Candidates who have already created an account with the RRB Official Website @ rrbapply.gov.in can use the same registration details to submit the RRB ALP Application Form 2025. First Time Registration / Account Creation @ rrbapply.gov.in
Indian Railway has launched a dedicated portal for Indian Railway Application at https://rrbapply.gov.in.. This means every aspirants who want to apply for RRB ALP Vacancy 2025 must create an account at this portal. rrbapply.gov.in. To create or Register at rrbapply.gov.in, the following steps may be followed –
- At first visit the official website @ rrbapply.gov.in.
- Navigate to “Apply” Tab on the menu.
- Next select ” Create an Account”.
- Confirm that previously account has not been created.
- Next enter the details, validate the AADHAR (if available) create password and submit the details.
- The Registration Part is complete.

RRB ALP CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test) Pattern
This test is only for those candidates who have applied or opted for ALP Posts. As per the information, candidates equal to 8 times of the vacancies will be shortlisted for the RRB ALP CBAT on the basis of score of Part A of the CBT 2. Candidates need to secure a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify this test. There shall be no negative marks in RRB ALP CBAT. The RRB ALP Computer-Based Aptitude Test is mandatory for all candidates and no relaxation in this regard is permissible.
